Considering it seems to be Joburg week on Artheat, we're featuring my favourite piece on the Absa L'Talier exhibition, Flat Champagne by an anonymous catering company. The work features a champagne fountain supplying the drink to revellers at the L'Atalier opening at the Absa building on Tuesday. Though aesthetically impressive (or pretty at least) and suitably ostentatious, all champagne from the fountain was obviously flat -rendering it characterless and unpleasant to the taste. A useful metaphor I think....

isn't that one rebecca haysom? doodler of fine images especially of ex-boyfriends? (see 'not yet famous' exhibition at what if the world gallery earlier in the year...well well some michaelis students do make it out to the big wide world after all........
