On the 27 September 2006, the CAPE Africa Platform will connect a circuit of art events, exhibitions, film screenings, poetry and performance in Cape Town.
17:00
Greatmore Studios - Movement, an exhibition by recent Greatmore Studios’ visiting and resident artists.
18:00
The Old Biscuit Mill - home, an exhibition by 11 local artists.
The Scalabrini Centre - Voyage Ensemble: A Journey Together, a collaborative exhibition by 6 South African and 6 refugee artists.
CAPE Lab - Parking Gallery: Cape Town 2006, a showcase of four young Johannesburg artists from the Parking Gallery collective.
João Ferreira Gallery - Sleep Sleep by Brett Murray.
Bell-Roberts Gallery - 1 in 11 000 000 chances by Lyndi Sales & 3 Missed Calls by Cameron Platter
Erdmann Contemporary - 4 auto-stroke by Nicola Grobler
34 LONG - Review, a group exhibition of local and international artists.
Blank Projects - The Cape Town Biennale 2006 by artistic director, chairperson of the board and artiste Andrew Lamprecht.
20:00 until late
The Labia Cinema - Beware the Curves by Cameron Platter. Screenings at 8pm & 10pm.
Zula Bar - Verses, poetry and performance platform from 9pm.

This seems like it might be a cool night out... definitely worth checking out the Parking Gallery, Joao, Bell-Roberts and Blank. I also hear rumour that they'll be serving damn fine martinis at Cameron Platters thing at the Labia.

Is this a warning? Check out the animated map: like a flight path plot pre-9/11. It seems to predict that both arrowheads will crash almost simultaneously into the Scallabrini Centre. Is this a Mob Thing?
