Dear All
For those of you who know (or care) about it, I did not win the Arts and Culture Trust Arts Administrator of the Year award. It was won by Ishmael Mahommed who, I think, has worked in the field of community theatre. In general, Capetonians fared badly in capturing the awards in the different categories in 2006!!!!
However, I was one of three finalists and it was great to be flown to Jhb, etc, and I very much enjoyed the ceremony at Nedbank Sandton.
I am grateful to have made it as a finalist - I continue to remain surprised by even this.
To those of you who were holding thumbs for me, a big thanks.
I will still be at work until end 2006. See you in the gallery soon.
I am planning my 'retirement'!
Best wishes.

We love Estelle a lot. What a great ray of hope she has been through the heavy weather of the turgid, painful AVA committee. Please somebody kill Jill Trappler that others may live.
Estelle is one of the nicest people on the planet.
I love estelle. Poor woman. Imagine having to work with that fucking committee.
