Now, I believe that there are some rumours going around, and I just want to set the record straight:
We did not in fact crib our press release from the Goodman Gallery's "The Loaded Lens". The Museum of Contemporary Art's release pre-dates theirs so obviously they put ours to 'good' use, we appreciate that they obviously have a sense of humour there (on the other side). So, although we forgive them, we do not appreciate their frivolity! Sue Williamson purportedly seems to think that we "chaps" are just having fun, now as far as I know it's "girls" having fun that got Us into this trouble at the very start! It's a serious business doing the overlord's bidding and, you know, if it's not done right where do you end up?
Hell Yeah will include works by fearless agents - including Draad Trek vir Jesus, Ondrej Brody & Kristofer Paetau, Kathryn Smith, Robert Sloon, Emil Papp, Ed Young, Dawie 'Little Fires' van Vuuren, Doreen Southwood, Henning Ludeke, Ruth Sacks, Spunk Seipel, Andrew Lamprecht, Dan Halter, Avant Car Guard, Alexi Fotiadis, Bianca Baldi, Barend de Wet and Matthew Hindley.
MoCA presents Hell Yeah, a show conceived by Douglas Gimberg and Christian Nerf. 18h30 - 21h00, Friday 13th, July, 2007. Ed Young officially opens the show at 19h06. 74 Shortmarket Street, Cape Town.

There was one gem in Ed's diary - when he wrote about sticking his finger up his own arsehole. This is a great description of Ed's life.
