There was a bit of arm wresting in Church Street today, on account of some sculpture thing or other. Quite a lot of people were there and the speeches were appalling. The wrestling was kicked off by two blokes with arms like 2-litre Coke bottles. The one with the narrower bottleneck won the match.

Then Christian and Andrew did something, but I'm so tired now I can't remember what it was.

The crowd got decidedly louder when Doing it for Daddy fought Gallery Puta. They slugged away through three whole rounds and Ed got best of three but boy he had to work for it. And Linda's cleavage was hotter. It was very interesting for some anonymous onlookers, as Ed took his shirt off and they could see that he's actually not that hairy.

Then all sorts of things happened, most of which went over my head cos it was all very theoretical. But I totally got the bit where PAINTING IS DEAD got licked by PAINTING IS UNDEAD. Yee-haa!! It's offical, then!

But to me, the hardest part to understand was why Johan van der Schuyf (sp?) thinks his entire podium is not going to get arm-wrestled right off that stoep and taken to a scrap-metal yard. Johan thinks it would be impossible because the podium weighs about a ton. But then what is the worth of a ton of brass on the open market these days? This is why I think the real contest will be between the podium and the people. Ladies and Gentlemen, you may place your bets.
