Goodbye Studio 2666
Tuesday, March 03, 2009
It's a sad truth but Studio 2666, my home for the last 2 years, is getting bashed down and the members scattering to the wind. The Studio has had an interesting history since it was founded by Ed Young and Christian Nerf. Since then we've had close on 300 braais, many many mouldering black bags full of beer bottles, made art and were occassionally happy. We had some terrible fights, more than one minor disagreement and one blind rage which saw most of the furniture destroyed. We had a show, too.The members have changed over time with various people coming and going, but over all the space has been characterised by extremely creative people, who were also exceptionally cool. I'll miss you all. Keep it dirty.
ArtHeat has been run from the Studio since almost the beginning, and to those that contributed their time and energy or ears and interest to the project, I couldn't have done it without your close proximity. It won't be the same without you.
