Lolo Veleko's travelling Standard Bank Young Artist exhibition, Wonderland, opens at the SANG on Saturday. Whatever you think of this undeniably 'cool' photographer, she has gotten very famous, very fast. Plus, the opening is going to be super fun, with The Wedding djs playing in the National Gallery courtyard, plus rumours of free food and Red Bull (and some drink). Starts at 6pm. Come.

Why do we like Lolo Veleko again? Refresh my memory?
I mean, I can understand the instant appeal and fame and shit, but critical acclaim? Is there any?
Sigh. I think Veleko must make a lot of serious local photographers question there self-worth, or at least consider hanging up that old mamiya and shooting for Elle.
